Financial statements from each charity showing my contributions will be published annually on this site.
I came to Australia aged 9 as a migrant from Europe. Now I am ready to repay the educational advantages I received at 17 by winning a Commonwealth Scholarship for undergraduate study at Sydney University. After graduation I was awarded a post graduate Commonwealth Scholarship and a tutorship to continue my studies in English literature. The money meant that I could also find time to develop my self taught art practice which for me was an essential complement to my university experience, as necessary as breathing.
Without these opportunities my life would have been harder and narrower. I have not forgotten my difficult start. In my travels from early childhood on I have seen heartbreaking poverty and I have heard many disturbing stories. As a great believer in education and its transformative effects I would like to sell my paintings to raise money for children living in dire circumstances. I will support charities building schools as well as orphanages offering developmental curricula that would include play, affection, encouragement as well as numeracy, literacy and other life skills. While all countries and cultures are of equal value to me I would give preference to those that have significant numbers of abandoned children as I believe those children are the most marginalised. I would like to support children born out of rape, those traumatised by war and victims of disease and poverty. Every child should have its needs met, every child should have basic human rights to food, clean water, physical safety, education and the warmth of adult care.

Over time there may be changes and new additions and details will be posted on my website. Please email me your suggestions.
The prices for these paintings are deliberately low even though each one is an original and not a print. As there is no gallery commission of up to 50% I am able to lower the price. The idea is to make the purchase as attractive as possible because the goal is to raise money for children. So if you were thinking of donating money to charities then this is a way you give to a cause and then receive a painting of your choice. You give a gift and you get a gift.
The price of the paintings includes a 10% materials fee to cover my basic costs.i will send 90% of the proceeds to charities.
